Project And Design of a Footbridge Over the Via De Cintura Interna
The project aims at designing a basic solution for a pedestrian bridge over the Via de Cintura Interna in Porto (Portugal), establishing a connection between the University Stadium and the Botanical Gardens.

With the construction of the Via de Cintura Interna, access to the University Stadium became very inconvenient, especially for pedestrians who are forced to walk approximately 680 meters from Rua do Campo Alegre. However, the straight-line distance from the University Stadium to the Rua do Campo Alegre is about 280 metres, which concludes that the construction of a crossing over the Via de Cintura Interna would be an obvious solution to this problem.
Thus, the construction of a bridge with an unconventional design is proposed, based on a longitudinal profile consisting of three circular concordances.
The option for this type of structure was to investigate and experiment with alternative, non-conventional solutions.
