The present project, submitted by SECIL MACEIRA-LIZ under Call No. 02/C11-i01/2022 – Industry Decarbonization, part of the PRR - Recovery and Resilience Plan, includes five decarbonization measures. Together with the measures implemented between the reference year and the post-implementation year of the project, these actions will reduce GHG emissions by approximately 30.3% compared to the reference year (2019).
Considering the projected emissions, the actual emissions per benchmark parameter at the end of the project will be 0.547 tCO2e/tclinker, a value significantly lower (21%) than the benchmark. The planned measures will also contribute to a reduction in global energy consumption of approximately 20.8%, resulting in a decrease of 11,976 toe between 2025 and 2019.
