Located in Lisbon and inaugurated in 2015, the new EDP Headquarters demonstrates that the rigour of architecture is fundamental to the city's requalification.

About EDP Headquarters

Consisting of two blocks of high buildings, with seven floors above ground interconnected by six underground floors, the new EDP Headquarters won the XII Secil Award for Architecture and was again distinguished, in 2017, with the Valmor and Municipal Architecture Award.

 

Considered a landmark of contemporary architecture that relates the hill to the river, it plays with empty spaces and natural light.

 

According to a representative of the Aires Mateus studio, the building "seeks to bring people to you. We're not only talking about those who work there, but we also mean the building as a public space".
